So Glad to be Swenglish!

This BBC documentary on knitting was shared via the Swedish Facebook page “Stickning” (meaning “knitting.”)

I wrote this comment on their wall:
“Thanks for sharing! Seeing this from the BBC makes me proud to be British and glad to be Swenglish! My Swedish mum taught me to knit as a child so I have the continental technique under my fingers. The British way of knitting that you can see here, and that I remember seeing my “Farmor” do, looks so much more cumbersome. Perfect “höstlov” viewing for a tired English teacher living in Sweden with an addiction to yarn… Tack!”
