Hello!
An extremely overdue update but finally I can announce that I have indeed graduated from my year of knitting studies at HV Skola.
And how to celebrate? Well obviously get completely addicted to crochet!
I joined an amazing Crochet Along – my very first – and am still going strong. I am learning advanced techniques along the way and a variety of stitches like puff, popcorn, and various raised textures lovely under the fingers. It is especially yummy using the wonderful array of colours available in Shetland yarn!
I am enjoying the meditative properties of working from the centre and evolving outwards in a mandala. This is a Queen Mandala by Annamarie with pattern available also on Ravelry but it is fun to follow her crochet along group to be inspired by others.
Also honoured to be featured in a blog produced by Stockholm-based crafting group, The Craft Lab. This a great organisation that offer crafts in all disciplines and materials so I am so pleasex to feature in their blog! 🙂
Do check out the links and hope it inspires you to get crafting, whereever you are, whatever your passion!
Happy crafting over the summer!
Stunning work!!!😍👌
Thanks very much!:)
Congratulations on your graduation! It doesn’t seem like it has already been a year 😀 Your crochet piece is gorgeous! I find crochet to be just as relaxing as knitting. It was, after all, my first love in the fine art of making.
Thanks Paula! Yes time did fly by and it was an intense course. I haven’t even posted on the final knitting project so I will do that soon hopefully. I’m glad I can enjoy both craft forms as knitting and crochet are both great yarn art crafts either by themselves or in combination. 🙂 Thanks and best wishes from Sweden
Congratulations! Such a great achievement and it has been nice to see some of your projects this last year! And lovely crochet!
Thanks purepurly! I haven’t been so good at keeping updates going but it so nice to get such kind comments of encouragement. 🙂 I will try to keep better updated and intend to post on the big final school project soon… Best wishes and happy crafting to you!
I think this way of sharing projects and ideas is a true inspiration! And for the first time in my life I finish almost everything I start on 😉 ….when it comes to knitting though! So I hope you will continue your blog as well!
Thanks! Yes it definitely helps to see each other’s work, share ideas and give a bit of encouragement. 🙂 We can keep each other motivated and inspired in knitting, crochet and blogging! 😉
Well done xx
Thank you!:)
What a stunning piece of work! Truly inspirational. 😊
Thank you so much! 🙂
